It looks like White House aide Natalie Harp has more than one member of the Trump family under her thumb. Hot on the heels of her increasing publicity for being in such close proximity to the president, her brother, Preston Harp, spoke out about who she is. And then, Trump’s own son, Eric Trump, spoke about Natalie’s brother in a post on X (formerly Twitter) and shared his thoughts about the Harp family genetics.
Eric praised Natalie for her work with the White House and he quickly insulted her brother. It was basically a twofer and it cemented not only Natalie’s role with the family and the Trump Administration, but likely Trump’s thoughts on Natalie’s brother speaking out. At the time of Eric’s comments, Trump did not release a statement about what Natalie’s brother said, however.

Natalie has been the topic of discussion among those who are anti-MAGA because of her close relationship with Trump and, of course, the leaked letters that depict a close personal relationship as well as working relationship with the president. After her brother spoke about her publicly, it seems that Eric felt the need to defend her.
“What absolute trash,” Eric wrote, sharing a video of Preston speaking to CNN. “Natalie is an incredible young woman — a cancer survivor, a genuinely good person, and arguably one of the hardest-working people in the White House. She’s deeply committed to my father, to her job, and to this country. From the looks of it, she got all the family genetics.”
But critics weren’t ready to roast Preston along with Eric in the comments under his X post. One person cheekily wrote, “Sounds like she might have received your dad’s genetics.”
Another turned it back around on Eric and commented, “I have arrested serial killers from Idaho who are more charming than Eric Trump.”
“No one questions how hard she works or how ‘deep’ her commitment is,” someone else wrote. “Trust me.”
Natalie Harp’s brother said she has had “obsessions” with other presidents.

When Preston spoke on CNN, he claimed that Natalie had shown behavior with past presidents, whom she allegedly wrote letters to. He admitted that the “obsessions” happened over the years, but that she seems to have gotten her wish with her working relationship with Trump.
“I’d say, since she was, like, 16, she’s had an obsession with…She’s written letters to other presidents,” Preston said, of his estranged sister. “Let me put it that way. And so, like, her dream came true, finally.”
There are rumors that Melania Trump doesn’t mind Natalie Harp’s role in her husband’s life.
There might be a reason Melania Trump was not seen publicly with Trump as much until late August 2026. According to some, that reason may have to do with Natalie taking her place, so to speak, as Trump’s right-hand woman. But it doesn’t necessarily mean Melania is butthurt over Trump’s close working relationship with his White House aide. Per a Reddit thread, Melania may even prefer it this way.
“I wonder how much Melania pays her to take her place?” One person joked. “No amount would be too much.”
Others agreed that they don’t think Melania minds Natalie taking some of her husband’s attention. Let’s be real, though. There is room in Trump’s life for a bevy of beautiful women willing to fall on their sword for him.
