Back in February 2025, Ashley St. Clair revealed that she had welcomed a child with Elon Musk. Since then, she has become increasingly critical of the Tesla CEO, and now she’s calling out his mother as well.
Elon’s mom, Maye Musk, just published a new book called Timeless. As she continues to promote it, Ashley has taken issue with the way she’s chosen to portray herself — especially when it comes to how she talks about her family life.
Previously, Ashley claimed that Elon had only met their child a handful of times.
She also said he seemed pretty uninterested in being a father to the child. According to Ashley, Elon chose not to be present for the birth of their child and then only visited him a few times in the months that followed. In a previous court filing, she alleged that Elon “has never asked to see our child on any other occasion, he has never communicated to me about our child without my prompting, he has never asked for photos of our child or checked in after doctor’s appointments.”
More recently, Ashley claimed that she was offered $40 million to not speak about Elon in a documentary about him.
And now, she’s speaking out about his mother’s behavior as well.
She took to Instagram to share her thoughts on Maye after finding out that she was stopping in New York to promote her book. In a post to her Instagram Stories, Ashley claimed that her son doesn’t even know his grandmother Maye. So, as she goes around talking about and writing about her family life, she has a grandchild who allegedly doesn’t even know about her because they’ve never met before.
She actually tagged Maye in the post and wrote, “Hey @mayemusk, saw you flew to New York City to promote your book + position yourself as a doting mother and grandmother.”
She pointed out that Maye has a grandchild in NYC.
“As you know, your grandchild who you have never seen also lives here,” Ashley continued. “He will celebrate his 2nd birthday tomorrow, unaware that you or any of his siblings you speak of exist.”
She urged Maye to reach out to her and perhaps actually meet her grandchild, but did not seem super optimistic about the whole thing. “I hope next time you come to the city, you attempt more face time with your grandchild rather than Gayle King and a camera,” she wrote. Oof.
She also addressed the way in which Maye has defended and celebrated her son Elon. “Call me what you want, but you flew into my home and said every critic of your son is ‘unaccomplished’ for a book that mentions my son you have never seen on the eve of his birthday,” she concluded.
During her interview with Gayle King, Maye called Elon a genius who “just wants to do good in the world.” Speaking of his critics, she said, “People are mean. And they’re strangers, or they’re not accomplished themselves, and then they can do insults. It makes me angry.”
