Politics is a complicated game, with many players and much nuance. Former Republican gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner is stirring the pot. She recently appeared with Charles Moran, a prominent leader of the Log Cabin Republicans, and discussed what they believe the current state of the LGBTQ+ conservative community is.
Caitlyn and Charles believe they are under attack and that a so-called "radical rainbow mafia" is "destroying the entire LGBT community." They are speaking out about it because they believe something needs to be done about it.
The term “rainbow mafia” has become a rallying cry for Caitlyn. It should be noted that at this time it is not a widely used phrase. It does not have a commonly agreed upon meaning.
"We live in a beautiful country called America, where we are free to be whomever we want. The Radical Rainbow Mafia has hijacked LGBT ppl and is the worst thing that has ever happened to LGBT ppl! They are DOMESTIC TERRORISTS," Caitlyn recently tweeted. These strong words drew public outcry, especially since they were tweeted just before the International Transgender Day of Visibility.

Caitlyn’s costar in the video clip is a leader of the Log Cabin Republicans. This group advocates for gay conservatives in the Republican Party and was established in 1977. Both Charles and Caitlyn vowed to work against the “rainbow mafia,” whatever that actually means.
