Casey Anthony’s Dad Appears To Really ‘Struggle’ During Lie Detector Test Clip

Casey Anthony's parents are fighting back against their daughter's claims. Coming more than a year after her interview blaming her father, George Anthony, for the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee Anthony, her parents agreed to appear on the series, Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test, which is a new true crime show on A&E.

Both parents took a polygraph test with questions about their granddaughter's death in 2008, all while being filmed for the entire world to see. In a clip showing the premiere of the series, George Anthony is seen "struggling" while answering the lie detector questions.

George Anthony, 72, is filmed denying that he knew anything about his granddaughter's whereabouts during the six months that authorities were looking for her. When asked if he had concealed Caylee’s whereabouts, he seemingly hesitates before saying, “No.”

“So you’re struggling with that one a little bit," the person administering the polygraph said. "Tell me why.” George replied, "Maybe it's because … it was so close to our house, that she was found."

Caylee's body was eventually found in the woods near the family's home in Orlando, Florida. Her skeletal remains were found with a blanket inside a laundry bag on December 11, 2008.

George Anthony says that he had no idea where Caylee was when he went looking her. "I was just visualizing the woods where she was found," he added. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

Casey Anthony, who is now 37, was charged with her daughter's murder in October 2008. She faced a high-profile trial in 2011, in which she was later acquitted due to the lack of evidence that she murdered her daughter.

But she was convicted of four counts of providing false information to the police. She served prison time and was released later that same month with credit for time served.

In her first on-camera interview about the case for the three-part limited series Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies on Peacock, Casey Anthony blamed her daughter's death on her father. She claimed that he sexually assaulted her and killed her daughter to cover up that he'd been sexually assaulting Caylee as well.

“Casey Anthony’s explosive accusations that her father molested Casey and Caylee and that he is responsible for Caylee’s death, prompted George and Cindy’s decision to undergo lie detector tests,” A&E revealed in a press release. “Their real-time responses to the polygraph questions are laid bare in the documentary along with each spouse’s reaction to the other’s answers and the lie detector results.”
