On September 12, 2025 Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika Kirk, took to social media to share a series of emotional photos and videos as she grieves. In one of the photos, Erika sat over her late husband’s casket. The image is followed by a video that shows her husband’s body in his casket. She can be seen rubbing his hand while crying and repeatedly saying “I love you.” Several other photos show Erika holding her late husband’s hand.
In the caption, she wrote, “The world is evil. But our Savior. Our Lord. Our God. He … He is so good. I will never have the words. Ever. The sound of this widow weeping echos throughout this world like a battle cry. I have no idea what any of this means. But baby I know you do and so does our Lord.”
She also wrote about how she would make sure that her late husband’s mission would live on. In 2012, Charlie Kirk and Bill Montgomery founded Turning Point USA, a conservative organization that promotes right-wing politics on college campuses. Bill died from Covid-19 complications in 2020.
“They have no idea what they just ignited within this wife,” Erika continued in her post. “If they thought my husband’s mission was big now you have no idea. You. All of you. Will never. Ever. Forget my husband @charliekirk1776 I’ll make sure of it.”
She concluded the post with, “Rest in the arms of our Lord baby as He blankets you with the words I know your heart always strived to hear, ‘Well done My good and faithful servant.'”
(The post itself is not shareable, but it’s public on Instagram.)
Erika had a similar message during a speech that same day. In a livestream on the YouTube page of Turning Point USA, she said, “The evil-doers for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done … They should all know this. If you thought my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. You have no idea what you have unleashed across this country and this world.”
On Monday, September 15, Erika shared a throwback video that showed her husband holding their 3-year-old daughter and telling her a story. “So we’re here at Bill’s Burgers in New York City, and right near this very table is the first time Dada met Mama,” Charlie told his daughter in the video. Erika captioned it with, “… my favorite love story.”
