Chrissy Teigen Gets Honest About C-Section, Says She Has to ‘Bandage Together’ Her Wound

You can say that Chrissy Teigen is, at this point, always candid about everything in her life at all times. But the model, who just delivered her third baby, this one via C-section, is being very … honest about the healing process that follows the procedure. And honestly? We love to see the transparency.

The Cravings author, 37, revealed in an Instagram caption on Monday that she has to “bandage together” her wound. Chrissy gave birth to her third child, Esti, earlier this month. In the first photo she shared of the baby, she revealed she had a C-section.

A few days after giving birth, she posted a photo to her Instagram story of what looks like a stain on her shirt while sitting in the car, with the caption, “wonderful.”

"OMW to bandage together both my wound and 3.8-second clips of Beyoncé performing in Dubai until I get a full HBO special," Chrissy captioned another post on Monday.

The mom posed for the photo in a long black dress and brown suede boots. The dress appears to have stains on her breasts from lactation as well as in the middle of her outfit.

The model revealed that she has to wear diapers after having the C-section, in a post where she shared a first look of baby Esti with her siblings Luna Simone, 6, and Miles Theodore, 4.

"She's here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier," she wrote in the caption.

"Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c-section!?" Chrissy continued. "We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X."

John Legend was the first to announce the birth of his daughter. He did so while performing at a concert earlier this month. He told the crowd that he and Chrissy had welcomed "the little baby this morning."

"What a blessed day," he said in between songs.

He explained to the audience that he “didn't get a lot of sleep" after the baby's arrival. But he said he felt "energized" after spending "a lot of time" with his wife and the baby.

Fans were glad to hear the news of a healthy delivery, I’m sure. Baby Esti arrived a little over two years since the couple experienced a heartbreaking pregnancy loss in October 2020.

A source told People that Chrissy and John were thrilled, saying they "both really wanted to add another baby to the family."

"It's been a long road," they added.

"Chrissy and the baby are doing well," the insider said of Chrissy and her newborn. "It's such an amazing way for them to start the new year."
