Christie Brinkley spent New Year's Eve with two of her kids, and some fans noticed the resemblance between Christie and her daughter right away. Though the daughter that Christie is pictured with, Sailor Brinkley Cook, is 25, and the former model is 69, some pointed out that they look like they could be sisters. "Happy New Year Everybody! Thank you @donnakaranthewoman for another magical New Years Eve to remember in your beautiful Sanctuary!" Christie captioned her post. "Wishing everyone health, happiness and love!"
"And don’t forget 2024 is an election year so please make sure you re registered to vote! We’ve got to save this beautiful planet together! ," she continued.
The first photo Christie shared shows her posing with Sailor with fireworks in the background.
"You look like sisters !!" one person commented. "Wishing you the happiest of new years! Keep living and loving life to the best you can be!"

In the second picture, Christie poses with her son, Jack Brinkley Cook, 28. Christie is also mom to Alexa Ray Joel, 38.
Just days before New Year's Eve, she shared a video of her eldest daughter's birthday celebration. "Happy Birthday to my Alexa Ray of Moonlight! My firstborn who gave me the greatest joy in my life by becoming your mom!" Christie wrote.
"I’m so proud of you for a million reasons like your beautiful kind heart and I know your wishes are often for others so I hope for this new birthday year you find the sweet fulfillment of all your wishes upon stars of candles coming true!" she continued.
Her daughter commented on the post, writing, "My Precious, Golden, Sparkling Mamacita!✨ I love you more than anything in the world… thank you for giving me life. "
Christie had her eldest daughter, Alexa, with musician Billy Joel in 1985. Though she had her son Jack with Richard Taubman, the former couple ended their marriage shortly after Jack was born and he was adopted by architect Peter Cook, who is also Sailor's dad.
Christie regularly shares photos of her kids. On Jack's birthday in 2023, Christie wrote a cute poem about her son:

Alexa and Sailor have both followed in their mom's footsteps by working in the entertainment industry, and they spoke to Parade in 2018 about the lessons they've learned from their mom.
Alexa shared that her mom's influence has made her more optimistic. "I’m not naturally as cheery or outgoing as her. I’m more of a worrier, but her gratitude and energy are really infectious," Alexa shared. "I didn’t get the endless Energizer Bunny gene, but when I’m around her, it’s contagious. She’s just like this golden, gleaming beam of sunshine.”
Christie has also learned a lot from her kids. She told Parade that "you learn so much from each child, just getting an opportunity to see the world through their eyes."
“I have three real individuals," she continued. "They all find magic in different places, and I feel so fortunate to be able to experience that.”
