Christina Aguilera turned 43 on December 18, 2023. She shared a behind-the-scenes look at her celebrations on Instagram. Her 9-year-old daughter Summer Rain, whom Christina shares with fiancé Matthew Rutler, helped her mark the occasion.
Christina is gearing up for her Las Vegas residency at The Venetian Resort's Voltaire venue. This is the second time she has taken her act to Vegas. This time around, Christina promises a more intimate show to display her musical talents.
In the video posted to Instagram, Christina is first seen entering a hotel suite that is all decorated for the big day. There are balloons and silver streamers. There is even a birthday balloon sign.
Christina twirls to take it all in. Summer joins in on the fun. The pair pose in front of the birthday banner to take a photo for posterity. It’s fun to look back on special moments such as these.

The video then shows Christina entering a concert venue. Christina’s band sings happy birthday to her and presents her with cake, macarons, and cookies. She blows out her candles and grooves to the music.
Summer also joined her mom on tour this year. In March, Christina shared a glimpse of what tour life was like for Summer. The carousel of photos showed Summer drawing pictures of all of the stops. It also showed a map of all the places they visited.

Summer turned 9 in August 2023. Christina also marked her daughter’s birthday on Instagram. Christina shared a carousel of photos and videos of Summer joining her on stage. “Every day, I thank the universe for gifting me the privilege of being your momma, a role that stands as my ultimate accomplishment. Witnessing the remarkable young woman you are evolving into fills me with immense pride. Mommy loves you so much!” Christina gushed.
Speaking about her upcoming Vegas residency, Christina told Billboard: “I look forward to bringing Las Vegas a new show that fuses music, sophistication and art in ways I have never performed before,” she explained. “What I love about the intimacy at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort is how up-close-and-personal I can be with the audience … a truly modern twist on the performance experience.”
The Venetian website is also hyping up the series of shows, which begin on December 30, 2023. "Christina will be unveiling a new show that celebrates her vocal prowess in a seductively cozy environment like no performance she has ever done before," it promises. "In contrast to traditional concert shows, the intimate venue will allow for Christina to invite guests into a musically dynamic and immersive piece of art."
