Barista Who Was An Orphan Sees Starving Boy & Decides To Pay It Forward With Selfless Act

It appeared to be a day like any other in a small coffee shop located on a busy street in picturesque Maine. The shop proprietor was named Steven Swan and customers had come to love the taste of his signature coffee and the sweet chocolate cakes he prepared himself.

Stephen had been in the business for 30 years and he loved it so much that he jumped at the chance of making it a sort of family tradition as he now worked alongside his eldest son, Gregory.

Stephen’s nephew Theodore had become close to the family after his parents died tragically in a car accident when he was just 17 years old. After their untimely death, Theodore sunk into a deep depression, which he may not have been able to come out of if not for the help of his Uncle Stephen and Aunt Margaret.

After a few months, Stephen offered to bring Theodore into the coffee shop as a part-time server to help him get out of the house a little more and meet some new people. Theodore kindly accepted his uncle’s offer and along with serving coffee and clearing dishes, his uncle taught him how to bake all of the delicious baked goods they served in the shop.

After three years on the job and his depression behind him, Theodore realized that he loved baking so much that he wanted to go to school to become a professional pastry chef.

As he studied, Theodore still spent most of his days working at his uncle’s coffee shop. One day, he couldn’t help but notice a young boy in dirty clothes who was meandering around the shop go up to a table that contained a woman’s half-eaten sandwich as she left without finishing her meal.
