Beef actor David Choe is under some heavy scrutiny after a video of him seemingly describing himself raping a woman resurfaced and went viral on Twitter. Within days, the actor filed a copyright claim and got the video removed from the platform. But the damage had already been done, and people are not happy.
The video was from a podcast Choe cohosted back in 2014 with Asa Akira. During an episode, he went into explicit detail describing himself sexually assaulting a massage therapist.
On the DVDASA podcast, he called himself a "successful rapist" and talked about masturbating during his massage and forcing the massage therapist to perform oral sex on him.

Choe did later issue an apology in 2014, claiming that the entire thing was a made-up story.
"In a 2014 episode of DVDASA, I relayed a story simply for shock value that made it seem as if I had sexually violated a woman. Though I said those words, I did not commit those actions. It did not happen. I have ZERO history of sexual assault," he said then.
But even though the initial video and apology took place years ago, its resurfacing was enough to get Choe put on the cancel train. By now, people ought to know better about "joking" about any form of sexual misconduct.
