Being bad can look good. Disney and Allure Bridal are joining forces to prove that princesses don’t have all the fun. They created a new capsule of wedding dresses inspired by famous villains, Ursula, Maleficent, the Evil Queen, and Jafar.
The looks come in both black and ivory versions. They run about $2,000 each. The gowns are part of Disney's 2024 Fairy Tale Weddings collection and are available now.
Disney is so excited about the new development and issued a statement celebrating it. "These new gowns capture both the romance and complexity of love," it began. Villains need love, too.
"The dresses are as versatile as they are romantic, each evoking themes from beloved Disney stories and highlighting iconic details and colorful accents from each of the character’s looks," the statement added.
The gowns are perfect for a themed wedding. It is similar to Disneybounding. Adults love dress up just as much as kids, so why not have fun with your wedding dress?

While Jafar from Aladdin might seem like a far-out idea for inspiration for a wedding dress, when you see the final product, you will get on board. It has a more masculine flair in the bodice but also sports a plunging neckline. The long sleeves are puffed with beaded and sheer details. Prince Ali or Princess Jasmine have nothing on this gown. Iago not included.
The Evil Queen from Snow White was all about appearances, so there’s no doubt her dress will be fierce. This lacy number with a sweetheart neckline and peaked bodice does not disappoint. Beautiful details, such as linear lace, floral ornaments, and beaded tulle, add depth to the gown. For added drama, there is a wrapped ruffle shawl to complete the look.
With the addition of the stand alone Maleficent movies to the Disney cannon, one could argue that the character really isn’t a villain, she is just misunderstood. Regardless, her wedding dress is fabulous. It features a fitted sheath concept, complete with green velvet and layered lace appliqués.
Last but not least is Ursula’s look. Of course it is mermaid style, beaded, and theatrical. "Emulating Ursula's dramatic flair, the gown [has] detachable sheer sleeves that boast ruffled detailing at the cuffs," Disney gushed. No word if it is waterproof.
