Another day, another shade of orange, brown, or yellow added to Donald Trump’s bronzer palate. When he was spotted in his luxury box at the NBA Finals game between the Knicks and Spurs, someone on X caught a glimpse of his complexion looking more brown than orange for a change, but something tells me, it’s just another shade of makeup he uses from time to time.
The reason behind the different color? You couldn’t pay me to figure that out, because how does one really understand why Trump has his face colored in different orange hues depending on the day or time of day? But in the photos posted on X, you can clearly see a different, darker, shade on his face, and it in no way matches his actual skin tone on his neck.
Donald Trump’s makeup is getting out of hand at this point.
I tend not to remark on people’s appearance but this brown face paint is a choice, and it’s not remarked upon enough. pic.twitter.com/pdNLXi8jic

With the photos on X, the user who posted them wrote, “I tend not to remark on people’s appearance but this brown face paint is a choice, and it’s not remarked upon enough.” The photos show a darker look than Trump usually has when out in public, but his lighter colored ears and neck are telltale signs that this has to be makeup, or the result of a terrible spray tan.
Whatever the case may be, it’s not just the lighting. And it’s certainly not the result of spending too much time out in the sun on the golf course. Though he does spend enough time working on his swing to possibly result in a tan. Still, this particular look is something new altogether for the president.
“They apparently spray tan him while he’s wearing a shower cap!” One X user joked.
Another wrote, “And if the sources are reliable, he applies it himself. Which is why it looks the most ‘correct’ only from the front, and almost always looks splotchy and amateurish because like most things, he’s not very good at doing it. He could just pay someone to do it well but he’s dum(b).”
“Whoever does his makeup hates him,” someone also commented on X. “Either that, or he picks the color and does it himself…which means that whoever lets him do that hates him. No blending, no tone matching…his face looks like he smeared shit on it and called it good.”
And then you have to wonder why no one tells him how awful makeup like this looks. Maybe they are all just “yes men” through and through.
“The people around him either hate him or just afraid to speak up,” someone suggested.
A user also added, “You would think maybe the granddaughter would mention it to him.”
It’s almost concerning to see him without it.

These days, it’s more commonplace than not to see Trump out with his signature orange hue. As silly as it sounds, when you don’t see Trump with an orange face, or even a light orange and yellow-colored complexion, it’s cause for concern. That’s where we are now, apparently. The baseline for Trump is orange skin. Anything lighter or darker is the exception.
Now, it’s only when Trump looks more blatantly orange or, in this case, essentially brown, that people take notice. And if he shows up somewhere looking au natural, with pale skin that has zero trace of any kind of bronzer or foundation makeup, it’s another notable look. But standard orange? That’s just par for the course.
He reportedly uses makeup for rosacea.
Although Trump probably won’t ever speak openly about using foundation, concealer, or bronzer on a large scale, he has reportedly admitted to applying his own makeup for rosacea.
According to Vanity Fair, Trump has admitted to using translucent powder for his on-camera appearances. He also denied using bronzer, spray tans, or tanning beds. But let’s be real. That orange complexion and now, sometimes brown complexion, can only be the result of makeup.
