Critics Slam President Donald Trump For His ‘Embarrassing’ And ‘Unhinged’ Easter Message

President Donald Trump took an unconventional approach to wishing people a happy Easter in 2025. On Easter Sunday, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize some of the people he’s not a big fan of, including “the Radical Left Lunatics,” “WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement,” and “Sleepy Joe Biden.” Across social media, the message raised eyebrows and garnered a lot of criticism.

After accusing “the Radical Left Lunatics” of “fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country,” Trump also directed his Easter message at those who supported former President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. In the post, he seemingly continued to perpetuate false election fraud claims.

“To all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!” he concluded.

Critics saw the message as completely “embarrassing” and “unhinged.” While some people weren’t all that surprised.

“He does this with every holiday message,” one person wrote. “He can’t turn off the hatred for 5 seconds on a holiday to finish a tweet.” Others found it a bit jarring to see a message like that come from the president of the United States.

“It boggles my mind that the President of the United States can post something like this and half the country doesn’t even blink an eye,” one person reacted on Reddit. “Growing up this would have been unthinkable.”

A second Redditor added, “Not sure about everyone else, but I remember when presidents who weren’t sociopaths used to issue messages of unity, love and hope on Easter.”

A third person wondered why he couldn’t seem to muster up a more conventional message for Easter. The person wrote: “Can’t he just say happy easter? Like you won dude give it a rest.”

Some critics also noticed how he didn’t make any mention of the religious significance of the holiday. “Not a single Christian comment… that speaks volumes,” one critic pointed out.

“I love how Jesus’ message of love and compassion came through!” another person joked.

Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger also shared Trump’s Easter message on X, writing, “Dear Christians who think Trump is the savior, here is his inspiring Easter message or forgiveness and resurrection.” In a second post, he added, “How many times Trump mentions Jesus or resurrection: 0 How many times he says Lord: 1, (drug LORDs).”

The X account PatriotTakes also shared the Easter message. “Trump’s Easter message fails to mention Jesus, the cross, the resurrection, forgiveness, peace, joy, or any other Easter message,” the PatriotTakes post reads. “Instead, he attacked his political opponents, migrants, judges, law enforcement, and rambled about himself and his grievances.”
