Donald Trump Jr. is weighing in on the recently released Jeffrey Epstein emails, and according to him, the emails should serve as evidence that Epstein actually “hated” President Donald Trump. He also (not so shockingly) blamed Democrats and suggested that they were the ones who actually had suspicious relationships with the convicted sex offender.
In a social media rant, Don Jr. referred to his own dad as “Trump,” for some reason. “It’s clear from all the emails that Jeffrey Epstein hated Trump…” he wrote, adding that “he was literally live texting Democrats on how to impeach him.”
Don Jr. asserted that Epstein clearly didn’t have any evidence against Trump.
Don Jr.’s logic is as follows: If Epstein had any proof that Trump committed crimes, he would’ve shared that with people. After House Democrats released several emails that Epstein wrote about Trump, Republicans released a batch of 20,000 documents.
And sure, Epstein did not exactly have nice things to say about his former friend. He described Trump as “evil beyond belief,” “dirty,” and “borderline insane.”
While that’s not how most people would refer to their friends, Trump and Epstein truly were friends at one point before they later had a falling out. Don Jr. concluded his post with, “If he had anything on Trump he would have used it! But, why was a convicted pedophile still in direct coms with dems???”
An email also suggested Trump “knew about the girls.”

But, why was a convicted pedophile still in direct coms with dems???
People have been suspicious about Trump’s former friendship with Epstein for some time. And in spite of Don Jr.’s argument, the emails released by House Democrats didn’t exactly make him look good.
In one email, Epstein wrote, “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump…[a victim] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned.”
In another, Epstein claimed that Trump “knew about the girls.” Given that the president called the Epstein files controversy a “hoax” and tried to blame Democrats after these emails were released, it’s not surprising that his son would take a similar approach.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects. Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap.”
In a separate post, the president claimed that Democrats were trying to use “the Jeffrey Epstein hoax” to “deflect from their massive failures.”
People called Don Jr. out for his hypocrisy.

Many people pointed out the obvious: given that Trump is his dad, Don Jr. is not exactly the most objective source of information. Some accused Don Jr. of pretending like Trump and Epstein were “lifelong enemies” when they were obviously friends at one point.
One person argued that the Epstein case should not be about political affiliation. “No one should be shielded from justice after hurting a child,” they wrote in response to Don Jr.’s post. “How can this even be a debate?”
And someone else made it very clear that Don Jr. has “changed [his] tune.” They shared one of Don Jr.’s X posts from 2023. At the time, he wrote, “Show us all the Epstein client list now!!! Why would anyone protect those scum bags? Ask yourselves this question daily and the answer becomes very apparent!!”
