One of the many things you should look forward to as you age is getting to the stage of life where you just don’t care what other people think about you. Any possibility of consequences just go right out the door because all you’re trying to do is live in the moment and fully enjoy the last few years of your life in nothing but happiness.
A super sassy TikTok grandma with a massive following recently shared that she’s received written notice that she’s been from her nursing home that she’s been having too many rowdy parties and they will kick her out if it continues. Some people might find themselves immediately scared straight, especially at that age, but not this 96-year-old!
This grandma is not letting a warning from her nursing home hold her back from partying.
A 96-year-old TikToker with over 15 million followers with the handle @grandma_droniak recently shared a video that may take some people by surprise considering her age and living situation.
One of her most recent videos starts out by her saying, “I’m getting kicked out of the nursing home.” While sporting a super silly T-shirt, she then divulges that she received a letter from higher-ups in her nursing home stating that parties are strictly prohibited and residents are also not allowed to serve alcohol to other people who live in the facility.
This kind of “formal warning” may immediately strike fear in a lot of senior residents who may not have another place to go if they were asked to leave their nursing home, but Grandma Droniak wasn’t taking that kind of attitude whatsoever.
After she shows the camera the formal letter from the nursing home, she promptly rips it straight down the middle and says, “I can do what I want!”

Grandma Droniak then shares with her followers that she pays a whopping $12,000 per month to live at her nursing home, so she “can party if [she wants to].”
As she powders her face and combs her hair to prepare for the upcoming festivities, she shares that she has a few girlfriends who are on their way over to have a few drinks and gossip. She says it’s not quite a party, but they do get “rowdy” together.
Her video concludes with her saying “you can’t stop me” as she smacks her lips together a couple of things after applying some fresh lipstick. Right after that, there’s a knock on the door and she laughs as she says, “They’re here!”
A lot of her followers are in agreement that with that high of rent, she should be able to throw some parties.
There are several types of comments popping up under this TikTok video. Most people can’t quite wrap their minds around this grandma having to pay $12,000 a month to live in a seniors’ nursing facility.
One person wrote, “I’m sorry, but is no one else hearing “$12,000 a month”?!” Another person commented, “Me crying about my 4K a month mortgage 😭.” It really puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?
A few other people are making a direct correlation between her exorbitant cost of living and being told she can’t have a few friends over to have some drinks. One person said, “For $12,000/month we staying LIT EVERY DAMN NIGHT!!!!” Another individual thought that for that price, the nursing home should get directly involved in the parties. They wrote, “12 THOUSAND?!? A MONTH? They should be throwing the parties FOR you with that money girl, party on!!”
Another person shared their experience working at a retirement community that might be better suited to this grandma’s lifestyle. “I work at a “retirement resort”, also has a building for LTC. Several bars and restaurants for the residents, cannabis consultants for the residents, etc. for $12k a month, you SHOULD be able to do whatever you want and live your best life,” they wrote.
