Halle Berry recently celebrated her 57th birthday! And not only did she do so in style (as always), but alongside her boyfriend, Van Hunt, and her 15-year-old daughter, Nahla. She posted rare photos of her and her daughter to her Instagram profile. Viewers cannot see her daughter's face because she is facing away from the camera, but one of the photos shows the mother-daughter duo standing side by side, with Halle looking back at the camera. The actress has previously spoken out about keeping her children's identities private.
In a 2016 post, she shared a photo of Nahla and her son Maceo, both younger at the time, without their faces showing. When a critic said something about her not showing their faces, she responded: "I've noticed you have said this several times now, so let me be clear – I'm not at all ashamed of my children. I try to find creative ways to incorporate them into my feed because they are the biggest part of my life, but I also work very hard to keep their identities as private as I can considering they are only children."
In her most recent carousel post shared to Instagram, she still honors her daughter's privacy. "My mini me (but not so mini anymore) and my VanO took me to the World of Barbie for my B-day! I got to let my inner Barbie soar!!!! I love you guys …thank you ! And….I highly recommend it " she captioned the post.

People swarmed to the comments to wish her a happy birthday, and to also comment on her growing daughter.
"Happy birthday! And she’s so tall!!!" actress Julianne Moore said.
"Happiest of birthdays to you Queen!!" another person commented. "…dang your daughter got really tall! ❤️ ."
The photos show both Halle and Nahla dressed in pink. Halle is wearing a pink slip dress with feather trim around the top, pink cowboy boots, and pink glasses while carrying a heart-shaped rainbow purse. Nahla, who is seen towering over her mom, is in a pink corset dress, pink pumps, and carrying a pink purse to match her dyed hair. Halle's boyfriend is wearing a pink T-shirt and carrying a pink teddy bear backpack.
The Catwoman star shares her daughter with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. She shares her 9-year-old son Maceo with Olivier Martinez.
She and Van went public with their relationship in 2020. The two met and bonded over quarantine, and according to a source close to the two, “They’re soulmates.”
Prior to this post, Halle shared her daughter on her social platform in March to celebrate her birthday. "One of the greatest gifts the universe has given me is my daughter, Nahla," she said. "She is the sun that never fades and the moon that never wanes! Please join me in wishing her a happy 15th Birthday today! I love you sweet angel ."
She shared a photo of her and Nahla as a child, along with a couple other photos of her 15-year-old without her face showing.
A critic at the time commented: "How does she hide the photos when the child is out and about in school & in public? It must be very hard to make sure no one else is taking photos even when she’s at school."
"If you are so proud why is she hidden," another commented. "That posture means fear, insecurity and shame. Bizarre!!!"
