Heidi Klum, husband Tom Kaulitz, and his twin brother are all dealing with the sudden loss of their beloved dogs.
The supermodel, 49, and Tokio Hotel musician, 33, lost their 15-year-old dog, Capper, last month. Three weeks later, their 4-year-old dog, Anton, also died.
Tom’s brother, Bill Kaulitz, also suddenly lost his 4-year-old bulldog, Stitch, a week ago.
"I will never understand why life took you from me so early, so unexpectedly, so sudden, only days after we lost our Capper, when you were only 4 years old," Bill wrote in a letter to Stitch on Instagram.
The Kaulitz brothers took to their Spotify podcast, Kaulitz Hills – Senf aus Hollywood, to discuss the odd circumstances around the deaths.
Bill explained that Stitch was "perfectly healthy and happy" up until his untimely death.
"He was never sick, never had to go to the doctor. And then, one Sunday, he suddenly collapsed and fell over. I was in shock."
He added that his dog got an autopsy, which they “hope to learn a few more things” from.
"Sadly, we also had to think about whether it might be the case that everything is connected," Bill added.
"It's so sad that you have to think that there is someone who wants to harm you so much that he kills your animals," Tom responded. "Is there a lunatic out there?"
