Three Divers Were In Distress Until Group Of Hero Mermaids Jump In To Rescue Them

As it happens, mermaids are real and they can actually be real-life heroes, too.

Inside Edition reports on how three women dressed up as mermaids were swimming off the coast of Catalina, California, when they heard a cry for help from three adult divers who were in distress nearby.

Josh Claramunt was out diving with his dad and his dad's best friend Pablo when things quickly took a turn for the worse.

“I start shouting for help. And I get three helps out and then … honestly, just a troupe of mermaids … come out of the water. Like something out of a Disney movie,” Josh explains.

Josh goes on to explain that it was their family friend, Pablo, who was in the roughest shape and he was actually afraid that he was “looking in the face of a dead man.”

When the group of mermaids reached the men, one of them decided to give Pablo mouth-to-mouth resuscitation due to his dire state. When the other mermaids noticed Josh hyperventilating in the water and his dad looking like he needed some assistance, they decided to help bring the other two men to shore.

Inside Edition brought Josh and the three mermaids, Chin, Elle, and Elaina, back together for a heartwarming reunion.

If you’re wondering where these women dressed as mermaids came from, it turns out that they’re members of the Professional Association Of Divers Mermaid Program. And that day they just so happened to be out on a training exercise when they heard Josh’s cry for help.
