When Hunter Biden took to social media to share a photo of him and his father eating ice cream, someone commented, “Someone is going to think this is very suggestive.” That “someone,” of course, is Vice President JD Vance. Which seems to be exactly why Hunter posted it.
Last week, during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Vance commented on how the way Former President Joe Biden eats ice cream is supposedly super “suggestive.” Hunter has been trolling him ever since.
First, Hunter acted kind of disturbed by what JD said about his dad.

When reflecting on Joe Biden’s presidency, JD, 41, said, “The way that he ate ice cream, I mean, it’s like, you know, we could bring some of this stuff up, but it’s like they would get him eating ice cream in the most ridiculous, suggestive way imaginable.”
Lots of people on social media failed to understand what he was talking about. “Who among (us) hasn’t seen a video of Joe Biden eating ice cream and immediately thought to themselves, d—, he looks sexy as hell,” someone wrote sarcastically after clips of JD saying this went viral. “Seriously, WTF is wrong with Vance?”
Hunter’s initial reaction was similar. On July 16, he shared a screenshot of JD on the podcast with the words, “JD Vance admits Joe Biden eating ice cream makes him think of sex,” written over it.
“I don’t even know what to say anymore,” he wrote. “Couches and now this.”
In the days that followed, he decided to share some ice cream pics.

And one of them even featured the former president. In the first ice cream photo he shared, Hunter was by himself. He stood in front of some progressive posters while holding an ice cream cone. Just in case his reason for doing this was unclear, he mentioned JD in the caption.
“Hey @JDVance,” he wrote. “I wish I knew how to quit you.”
Then, in a follow-up post, he wrote, “You all realize that it’s National Ice Cream Day, right?” He then shared a photo of both him and his father eating ice cream together.
People praised him for his trolling, and their comments were also brutal.

Tons of people joined in on sharing jokes about JD. “Oh no,” someone commented. “You know that picture will make JD Vance feel a certain way.”
Another person joking called the image a “Biden Thirst Trap” for JD, while others sarcastically wrote things like, “Are you TRYING to seduce us?” and “Hunter, please stop posting erotic images on Twitter.”
People assumed that the post really would bother JD, perhaps for multiple reasons. “Hunter I hope you understand this will make JD Vance completely lose his s—,” one person wrote.
Meanwhile, someone else joked, “JD is jealous you are eating ice cream with sexy Joe Biden.”
Aside from the fact that people found JD’s comments about the former president eating ice cream ridiculous and strange, they also couldn’t understand why that, of all topics, was what JD was choosing to discuss. Hunter’s reactions, at least, made a lot of critics of the Trump administration laugh. “Troll level: Master,” one commenter concluded.
