President Donald Trump has a habit of lashing out at female reporters, and like many of his other critics, Hunter Biden wants to know why he’s not being held accountable. On numerous occasions, Trump has made headlines over how he interacts with reporters. He has complained about how CNN’s Kaitlan Collins supposedly never smiles and has “hatred in her eyes.” He has also called several reporters “stupid,” and said “quiet, piggy” in response to a question about Jeffrey Epstein. During his Meet the Press interview with Kristen Welker, he got up and left.
Although these interactions have been extremely controversial, nothing has changed. Hunter’s clearly baffled by how no one has actually done anything about this.
He also commented on how Trump can’t even handle being asked “literally one question.”

During an appearance on The Jim Acosta Show, Hunter spoke out against the way the 80-year-old president speaks to female reporters. “How does he get away with it?” he questioned. He mentioned the interview with Welker, in which he “got up and left” in response to one question he didn’t want to answer. As Hunter said, it’s not like the journalist had even been pushing him to answer something.
“That interview with NBC where he got up and left, that’s considered a tough interview?” Hunter questioned. “Because she asked him one question? It wasn’t as if she was hounding him over the period of an hour. It was literally one question and he got up and walked out.”
Then, Hunter also brought up the “quiet, piggy” controversy.

“He turned to a reporter … on the plane and said, ‘Quiet, piggy,'” he recalled. “Why is it that none of your former colleagues turned to him and said, ‘Go f— yourself, Mr. President?'”
People clearly have different opinions about whether other reporters should say something to Trump when he acts like this. The topic came up during an episode of The View, where co-host Sunny Hostin argued that another reporter should’ve stepped in and defended Kaitlan Collins when Trump lashed out at her. But co-host Kara Swisher argued that it’s not reporters’ jobs to get involved and insert themselves into a story like that. “The whole thing is, when you’re a reporter, the story shouldn’t be about you,” she said.
Obviously, there are a lot of people out there who think that someone should say something, though. Hunter’s comments about the issue went viral on social media, where people had mixed reactions.
Other people said they’ve been asking the exact same question.

Several commenters said they’ll “never understand” why no one in the room says anything about Trump’s comments. “I ask myself this daily,” one person on X wrote. “I would have to tell him to f right off!”
Someone else said, “(Trump) is afraid of smart women. That’s why he tries to belittle them. Reporters should defend each other, not doing so makes it seem acceptable.”
At the same time, another person argued, “Because a reporters job is not to defend themselves or their colleagues against boorish behavior. It’s to report the boorish behavior in response to valid questions.”
