As glamorous as it all seems from the outside, living your life in the public eye is a difficult balancing act. Your livelihood is partially tied to appeasing your fans, but you also have to maintain a sense of privacy and self. This is especially true when facing a crisis such as a medical emergency.
Jamie Foxx’s family is walking this fine line after his hospitalization on April 11 of this year. His daughter Corinne took to Instagram to announce this "medical complication" initially and then went silent, causing many people to fill in the blanks. On Friday, May 12, she finally gave fans another update, stating her dad is out of the hospital, recovering, and even well enough to play pickleball. This comes after other outlets reported that Jamie’s friends and family were preparing for the worst.
Corinne gave her update on Instagram stories, reposting an image with the headline “Jamie Foxx’s Loves Ones Reportedly Preparing For The Worst.”
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” she wrote. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
Corinne also teased a special announcement that she promised would occur sometime this week.
“We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!” she added. She was true to her word, and on Monday, May 15, Jamie and Corinne announced a new game show they are developing with Fox.
“We are thrilled to be developing ‘We Are Family’ with Jeff Apploff and our friends at FOX Entertainment,” Jamie and Corinne wrote in a statement. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”
