Retired Police Officer Who Shared A Cell With Jeffrey Epstein Is Convicted Of Murder

A retired cop who was Jeffrey Epstein's cellmate until Epstein died by suicide has been convicted of murder. Nicholas Tartaglione left the Briarcliff Manor Police Department in 2008.

Tartaglione was found guilty of the 2015 deaths of Martin Luna, his two nephews, and a family friend.

Prosecutors in the case said that Tartaglione killed Luna because he believed that Luna owed him money. He was also accused of torturing Luna and making one of his nephews watch.

Attorney Damian Williams commented, "Mr. Tartaglione’s heinous acts represent a broader betrayal, as he was a former police officer who once swore to protect the very community he devastated."
