Jenna Bush Hager’s Family Loves Practical Jokes & April Fools’ Day Was Their Time To Shine

Jenna Bush Hager and her family seem to have a healthy sense of humor. April Fools' Day is like their comedic Super Bowl. The family was busy all day pranking one another.

Jenna opened up about this on Today With Hoda and Jenna. She did admit that she is glad the day only comes once a year. It’s tiring being on your guard and planning the perfect practical joke.

It started with Jenna's husband, Henry Hager, trying to tell her that he hit a deer with his car, but Jenna didn’t fall for it. Then Jenna and her son Hal tried to trick Henry into thinking Hal pooped his pants. “We waited for Henry to come home,” she explained. “[I’d] already set it up where I told Henry, ‘Yeah everything’s fine, just Hal’s stomach is not great.’” Hal wiped some beans on Henry’s clothes, telling him it was poop. Henry wasn’t buying it.

Mila got her dad good, though. She wrapped his toilet with cling wrap.

"I created monsters who do stuff like wrap their parents' toilet," Jenna explained. Mila did have to clean up her dad’s pee, so maybe she won’t be doing that again.

Jenna felt bad after trying her prank the kids. She told them that their cat, Hollywood, was pregnant. When she revealed she was just kidding, it backfired. “When I told [them] that it wasn’t true — tears,” Jenna explained. “They thought they were going to have kittens!”
