Jennie Garth Moves Her Look-Alike Daughter Into College & It’s Hilariously Relatable

Celebrities’ experiences are not always the most relatable, even if they make an effort to come across that way. So some parents were pleasantly surprised to see Jennie Garth’s experience moving her daughter into college didn’t look all that different from theirs: both emotionally challenging and labor intensive at the same time. The 53-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 alum recently shared footage from her 18-year-old daughter’s college move-in day. It turns out, even if you’re famous, you might end up doing the bulk of the heavy lifting (literally) when your kid moves into their dorm — at least based on Jennie’s video.

In the humorous clip shared via TikTok, Jennie carried her daughter’s belongings through the hallway and into the dorm room, saying, “Hi, I’m Jennie, and I’m unloading everything.” Meanwhile, Jennie’s daughter just said, “Hi, I’m Fiona.”

In the next scene in the video, Fiona’s dorm was already decorated with wall art. Jennie made it clear that she, again, was the one who set everything up. “Hi, I’m Jennie, and I put up all this wall art,” she said. Then, her daughter simply said, “Hi, I’m Fiona.”

The video continued like this, revealing that Jennie was also the one who arranged her daughter’s rug in the dorm room, among other things. At the end of move-in day, she stood in front of a fan and concluded with, “Hi, I’m Jennie, and I moved my daughter into the dorm room when it was 95 degrees.”

Living that mom life, who can relate? 😂 I’ve LOVED being a girl mom for what feels like my whole life. We give so much to our daughters because we love them more than words. And I’d do it all over again. Preferably with air conditioning 🥵 TBH Fiona did some heavy lifting too 💪💗 She will forever be my baby but I am missing my little bird like crazy! Also big thanks to Dave and Lola for being right by my side as we all make this family transition. Lots of hugs when I tear up as I pass by her empty bedroom🥺

She also admitted that her daughter did help in some ways, in spite of what was shown in her video. “TBH Fiona did some heavy lifting too 💪💗 She will forever be my baby but I am missing my little bird like crazy!” Jennie added.

For other parents who have endured college move-in day, the video was actually pretty comforting. “There’s something really comforting about my favorite celebrities being at the mercy of their kids the same way I am 😅🥰,” one fan commented. “True story of all us moms moving our kids into the dorms. 😂😂😂,” another fan commented.

Some warned Jennie that the dreaded move-in day is actually not the worst part of the college experience. “Welcome to the club!😁 PS~move out is much worse! Everything is thrown together and disorganized!” a third fan said.

A fourth fan added, “Kids are born to keep us humble.” Though that particular video focused on how exhausting move-in day can be for parents, Jennie opened up about the more emotionally challenging transition in a different clip. “I can’t believe this moment is finally here,” she said. “I just couldn’t stop hugging her.”
