Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Hollywood Writer She Says Bought Her Used Toilet On Craigslist

Jennifer Lawrence says that her mother sold her old toilet to Lee Eisenberg, who is the writing partner of No Hard Feelings director Gene Stupnitsky.

Jennifer told People that her toilet was broken and her mom sold it on Craigslist for some reason that is unknown to her. She said that when Lee Eisenberg purchased the toilet, he knew who was selling it.

Interestingly, Jennifer's latest film, No Hard Feelings, is also a Craigslist story.

In the movie, Jennifer's character responds to a Craigslist ad posted by two parents who are looking for someone to date their son.

After People shared the story, Lee posted it on Instagram, saying it never happened. He has never purchased a toilet that belonged to Jennifer Lawrence, he claims.

"So proud to be a part of Hollywood lore," he wrote on Instagram. "While the story is completely untrue, it’s a thrill to be a part of the cultural conversation. I’ve never bought Jennifer Lawrence’s old toilets, but maybe this will open the door. Go see NO HARD FEELINGS June 23 in theaters everywhere!"

Fans weren't so sure. Some wrote in the comments that he definitely bought the toilet if he's insisting that he didn't.

"I believe the exact opposite is true," one user responded.

"Oh my god you totally bought it," one person wrote.

Some said that Lee is clearly famous now if people are accusing him of buying a toilet from Jennifer Lawrence.

"I think this is the really clear moment that YOU’VE MADE IT," one person wrote.

Other users thought the claim was a way of promoting No Hard Feelings.

One person even expressed interest in buying the toilet from Lee.

Whether or not the statement was made just for publicity remains unclear.

In No Hard Feelings, Jennifer's character is desperate. She's about to lose her home when she stumbles upon a "job posting" on Craigslist.

The ad was posted by two parents who are looking for someone to date their awkward, shy 19-year-old son before he starts college.

No Hard Feelings starring Jennifer Lawrence will be released on June 23.
