Talk Show Host Jerry Springer Dies At Age 79 Only Months After Terminal Diagnosis

Talk show host Jerry Springer has died from cancer at the age of 79.

Jerry's family confirmed the news of his passing and that he died in his home in Chicago, Illinois. Jerry was diagnosed with cancer a few months before his death.

Jerry's friend and spokesperson Jene Galvin commented, "Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word."

Jene continued, "He’s irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humor will live on."

In addition to his long-running talk show, Jerry Springer also served on the Cincinnati City Council and as the city's mayor. He was also a news anchor and commentator on WLWT in Ohio.
