It might seem impossible to imagine Full House without Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but the twins' costar John Stamos has admitted that he tried to have both girls fired when they were little — and that he succeeded.
John shared the story during an interview for the Good Guys podcast. From the way he tells it, it seems that the biggest offense the two girls committed was, well, being babies.
He explained: "We’re doing the scene. Joey [Dave Coulier] and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny’s [Bob Saget] gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids.’ ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it.'"
He continued, "So, we’re carrying the baby downstairs and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down. And she was screaming. Both of them. They wanted to be anywhere else but there — and so did I."

It seems like the decision was easy enough to make, until all of the sudden it wasn't. As John concluded, "They were 11 months old, and God bless them. They kept switching: ‘This one’s not gonna cry.’ I couldn’t deal with it. And I said, ‘This is not gonna work.’ So they got rid of them."
He added, "And so they got rid of them. They bring on these two redheaded kids … I’m sure their parents loved them and thought they were attractive."
