Jon Ossoff, a U.S. senator from Georgia who is seeking reelection, caused quite a stir when he mentioned President Donald Trump’s aide Natalie Harp during a campaign speech. And he’s not backing down.
At his first rally since he made the viral comment, Ossoff referred to Trump as the “draft-dodging crook president.” He also said Trump has “plunged our nation recklessly into a war he knows not how to end or to win.”
Prior to this appearance, Ossoff said Trump does not seem interested in doing the work he was elected to do.

A succinct but brutal critique of Trump that Ossoff offered during an event quickly went viral and sparked a ton of backlash among those who support Trump. “He golfs and trades stocks,” Ossoff said at the time. “See, he doesn’t want to do the job; he wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie to their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”
Prior to this, Harp had managed to lie kind of low even though she frequently traveled with Trump. Sure, people had seen her before, and some had heard of her “human printer” nickname, but now, people can’t stop talking about her and the questionable relationship she appears to have with Trump.
Trump responded to the comment.

When asked about Ossoff’s claim that he seemed more interested in building a ballroom than actually doing his job, Trump referred to Ossoff as “Pee-Wee Herman.” He also claimed that he “would much rather do other things.” He acted as though he had no choice but to renovate the White House because it was “a mess” before he arrived.
“You mean Pee-Wee Herman? Pee-Wee Herman lookalike,” Trump said. “No, I would much rather do other things. We’re building a great facility here. We’re fixing the White House that hasn’t been taken care of. This room was a disgraceful situation, the Oval Office. It was let go. The whole building, the White House was let go. The exteriors were falling apart. The columns were falling apart. The whole place was a mess.”
Ossoff did not seem bothered by the attention his comment was getting.

Quite the opposite, actually. During an interview with MS Now, Ossoff said, “It’s been amazing to watch this White House melt down over this all week,” per The Hill.
He also doubled down on his skepticism of Harp. He, like many others, accused her of enabling Trump and “printing out (his) daily dose of delusion and flattery.” There’s been a lot of speculation about Harp’s involvement in Trump’s Truth Social posting sprees. She’s said to carry around a small, portable printer that allows her to easily share physical copies of articles and other content with the president, which is how she got her “human printer” nickname.
People have also questioned the seemingly obsessive nature of their relationship, especially after her letters to Trump were published by The Daily Beast. In one letter from 2023, she wrote, “I never want to bring you anything but joy. I’m sorry I lost my focus. You are all that matters to me. I don’t want to ever let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.”
