Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner are headed toward divorce after 19 years of marriage.
A representative for Kevin confirmed the news via an official statement. The statement indicates that Kevin is not exactly happy about the split. It reads, "It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action."
The statement continues, "We ask that his, Christine's, and their children's privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time."
Kevin and Christine have three children together: sons Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 14, plus daughter Grace, 12. Kevin is also dad to four adult children from previous relationships: daughters Annie and Lily and sons Joe and Liam.
The two famously dated for six years before getting engaged. At the time, the actor indicated that Christine was prepared to walk away from the relationship if marriage wasn't on the table.

He explained, "Finally, there came a moment where, maybe this doesn't go forward."
However, Kevin quickly added that he had to realize, "I'm not going to lose her because I'm afraid."
