Kyle Richards used to be “Kyle Richards Umansky” on Instagram, but she has now removed her estranged husband's last name. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been married to Mauricio Umansky founder and CEO of The Agency, since 1996. After 27 years of marriage, Mauricio and Kyle separated in July 2023, but they have not filed for divorce.
They were also living in the same home up until recently. On May 1, Us Weekly reported that Mauricio moved out of the home he shared with Kyle and bought his own luxury condo.
Kyle and Mauricio released a joint statement via Instagram after they decided to separate. They said that they "both love and respect each other tremendously" and that "there has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part."
Despite their separation, they continued to share a space. Several months after they decided to separate, Kyle told The Messenger that living in the same place could be "awkward" at times, but it was largely not an issue because they had enough space to "spread out." She also noted that they "get along and care about each other very much."
Because they both travel, they also haven't had to share the space too much lately, according to Us Weekly.
Though Kyle recently changed her name on Instagram by removing her estranged husband's last name, she still refers to herself as a "wife" in her bio on the platform, which reads, "Mom, wife, actor, author,producer,animal lover, a RHOBH , CAA."

During a RHOBH reunion episode in March, Kyle said the reason that she and her husband decided to split up is "nobody’s f—ing business."
On the show, she also shared that she tried to make things work, but "finally had a breaking point."
