Madonna's younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, has died at age 63. The sad news came less than years after another of the "Like a Virgin" singer's brothers, Anthony, died. Meanwhile, their 93-year-old father is still alive.
Growing up, Madonna was one of eight siblings. Her Italian immigrant parents were Madonna Louise (who died in 1963) and Silvio Anthony "Tony" Ciccone. In addition to the pop star, Christopher, and Anthony, the Ciccones welcomed Martin, Paula, and Melanie. Jennifer and Mario came after Silvio remarried in 1966.

Madonna’s younger brother, Christopher “Chris” Gerard Ciccone, died on October 4, 2024, at age 63 after a battle with cancer. In a statement provided to ABC News, his family noted that Chris' husband, Ray Thacker, and other loved ones were by his side when he died. He was "surrounded by love," they wrote.
Christopher appeared in two of his sister's music videos. He is most well-known for having served as a backup dancer in Madonna's music videos for "Lucky Star" and "Everybody."
"Like his siblings, Christopher came of age in Rochester, Michigan, where both his personal and creative identities bloomed to reveal an expansively artistic soul," his family's statement detailed.
It continued, "Christopher moved to New York City where he applied his craft of dancer and choreographer in support of his sister Madonna's emerging singing career," the statement read.
As People reported, Chris was the art director of Madonna's Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990 and the production design lead for 1993's The Girlie Show.
"His role expanded and his creative life surged within that collaborative and familial framework," the family's statement shared. Chris also became a "dresser and creative consultant to his elder sibling during her meteoric rise; and he further flourished in the role of interior designer within the homes his elder sibling owned and occupied in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles."

In 2008, Chris released an autobiography titled Life With My Sister Madonna. The book reportedly caused tension in his relationship with his famous sibling, who did not approve of the memoir per Entertainment Weekly. In 2012, Chris offered an update on his and Madonna's relationship.
"As far as I'm concerned, we're good," he told The Evening Standard. "We are in contact with each other, although I haven't seen her for a long time. We're back to being a brother and sister. I don't work for her, and it's better this way."
The news of Chris' death came on the heels of two other deaths in the family in recent years. In February 2023, Madonna's brother Anthony died at age 66 of respiratory failure and throat cancer, People reported. And in September 2024, Madonna's stepmother Joan Gustafson Ciccone died of cancer at 81.
