Margot Robbie has officially welcomed her first child! The Barbie actress and her producer/actor husband, Tom Ackerley, recently became parents. Let’s take a closer look at what we know about Margot’s newest addition.
To recap, Margot and Tom met in 2013 and started dating shortly afterward. In 2016, they tied the knot in Australia. The duo has collaborated on multiple projects through their production company LuckyChap since then, including Barbie, Promising Young Woman, and I, Tonya. In July, news broke that Margot was expecting her first baby.

The Daily Mail was the first to break Margot’s baby news after Tom was spotted buying baby supplies near their home in Venice Beach, California. Margot reportedly went into labor in mid-October, right before her due date. A source confirmed that “all is well.”
Shortly after the Daily Mail broke the news, People confirmed the birth of Margot’s first child — a baby boy. Details about the infant’s name and birthdate have not yet been confirmed. Although multiple outlets have reached out to her rep, Margot has not released a statement about the birth of her son.
Before she and Tom said “I do” in 2016, Margot dished on how many children she had her heart set on.
“I grew up in a family of four [kids], so that sounds like a good number,” she told Sunday Style. “We’ll see what happens; no time soon. I know that once I have kids, they’ll be my priority, so I want to do the family thing later.”
In 2019, Margot spoke about her frustration with people putting pressure on women to have children right after marriage.
“It made me really angry; how dare some old guy dictate what I can and can’t do when it comes to motherhood or my own body?” she told Radio Times magazine.”Unfortunately, it’s a conversation we’re still having.”
Margot added, “I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is ‘Babies? When are you having one?'”
Tom doesn’t often speak about his relationship with Margot. But in June 2024, he offered a rare glimpse into their dynamic.
“[We spend] 24 hours a day [together],” he told The Sunday Times, per People. “It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
