On October 20, 'Vogue' revealed that Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant with her second child.

“Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney,” Vogue captioned a since-deleted post, per People. In a separate Vogue article, the publication noted that representatives for Jennifer confirmed the pregnancy.

The actress confirmed the news one day after photos showed her with what looked like a baby bump.

On Saturday, October 19, Jennifer was photographed in Los Angeles, Page Six reported. She and Cooke were reportedly walking together to dinner when paparazzi snapped the images. Although it wasn’t very prominent, Jennifer sported what appeared to be a small baby bump during the outing — likely prompting outlets to reach out for confirmation of the pregnancy.

Previously, Jennifer spoke about wanting to 'protect' her child's privacy as much as possible.

In November 2021, Jennifer shared her hopes of protecting her child’s privacy as much as possible during an interview with Vanity Fair.

“If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re expecting a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘God, I can’t talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!'” she told the magazine. “But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can.”

She later opened up about experiencing mom guilt.

During Variety’s Actors on Actors episode with Jennifer and Viola Davis in December 2022, the new mom made a relatable confession about motherhood.  Viola Davis for Variety‘s “Actors on Actors” Dec. 7, 2022,

“Every day of being a mom, I feel awful. I feel guilty,” she told Davis, adding, “I’m playing with [my son] and I’m like, ‘Is this what he wants to be doing? Should we be outside? We’re outside. What if he’s cold? What if he’s going to get sick? Should we be inside? Is this enough? Is this developing your brain enough?'”

Additionally, Jennifer said motherhood has shifted her priorities when considering new projects.

During a June 2023 sit-down with Interview magazine, Jennifer dished on how becoming a mother shifted her priorities as a Hollywood actor.

“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” Lawrence explained. “It definitely helps weed out projects: ‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?’ “
