Megyn Kelly Gets Called A ‘Mean Girl’ After Mocking Christina Applegate’s MS Misdiagnosis

Megyn Kelly is getting serious hate from critics and even some of her former on-air co-workers for comments she made about Christina Applegate. After the actress came out to reveal that, despite speaking out about multiple sclerosis (MS) for years, a doctor revealed she does not, in fact, have MS. Which is good news, in a way, because it means Christina’s actual diagnosis might not be as severe.

However, according to Megyn, the entire thing is a bad look for the Dead to Me actress. And, as one does when they have a platform and nothing better to do, Megyn spoke about Christina and her now faulty MS diagnosis on her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show. During the episode, Megyn did not mince words when she called out the actress, but later, Megyn was called out for her actions.

Megyn Kelly’s comments about Christina Applegate’s MS misdiagnosis did not go unnoticed.

After Christina revealed her health news to her listeners on her MeSsY podcast, Megyn spoke out about it on her podcast. She called out Christina for her reaction to learning about what her doctor said, and for showing such emotion while explaining to her listeners that her previous MS diagnosis was, apparently, wrong.

“She’s crying now because I guess she no longer gets to be the face of this disease,” Megyn said on her podcast. “And as she says, she’s back to ‘square one.’ She’s made a cottage industry of talking about her MS.”

She also said that the “problem with celebrities” is that they lean heavily into their health problems. According to Megyn, that goes for Christina too.

“I’m sorry, but like the woman who’s made like every public statement about health for the past several years all about her MS, she’s hosting an MS podcast, has now come out to tell us all she doesn’t actually have it,” Megyn said during her podcast episode.

A former ‘Fox & Friends’ host called her out.

Just because Megyn isn’t afraid to speak on the topics she cares about, regardless of the backlash, it doesn’t mean there won’t be any backlash at all. Former Fox & Friends co-host and weather anchor Janice Dean called out Megyn on X (formerly Twitter) for her harsh words and reaction to Christina. Janice was diagnosed with and lives with MS and stepped down from her role on Fox to deal with her health issues.

“She used to be one of my closest friends and then she ghosted me after she endorsed

@andrewcuomo for mayor and I told her she broke my heart,” Janice posted. “Her comments about @1capplegate are disgusting. Having #MS for over 20 years, she knows how long it took for doctors to diagnose me. I think Christina is brave for telling the truth and I’m grateful she became a voice for so many of us.”

People agreed that Megyn Kelly’s comments were uncalled for.

Janice isn’t the only person calling out Megyn for being a total mean girl when it comes to Christina. The biggest issue might be that Christina is out here catching strays for seemingly no reason. There doesn’t appear to be some years-long beef between Christina and Megyn, though even so, Megyn felt the need to speak out on her MS news.

“She sinks lower every day,” one person wrote on Reddit, in reference to Megyn.

“I LITERALLY gave up Sirius because of Megyn Kelly.” another person wrote. “I told Sirius customer service that they will not get a cent of my money as long as that bag of rat shit has a show on Sirius.”

Someone else agreed, “:She has a history of not knowing when to shut her ignorant mouth. POS in my opinion.”
