Michael Strahan Returns To ‘Good Morning America’ After Being MIA For 3 Long Weeks

Michael Strahan has made his return to his coanchor position on Good Morning America after being away for nearly three weeks. Though no details were given as to what pulled him away for so long, his absence was noted to have been due to personal family matters. The former NFL player had also been absent from Fox NFL Sunday, where he is an analyst. He returned to that platform on November 12, 2023 after being away for two weeks. Along with his absences from both shows, he was also notably MIA from social media, with his last post being made on Instagram and X on October 5, 2023.

“Can I just say we have tears of joy because we have Michael back here at the desk with us?” Robin Roberts, another one of the show's coanchors said during the program. “It is great to be back with both of you, and it’s great to see Jeremy Renner conquering another mountain or hill as he’s on his way to recovery,” Michael replied.

He then went into the day's updates, making no further comment on his absence from the show. According to a source, Michael was dealing with personal matters.
