Miley Cyrus is far from the "Party in the USA"/Hannah Montana era that we so often relate her to. The 30-year-old recently opened up about how she feels guilt and shame around her early adulthood. And it was because of how people reacted to her ever-changing persona.
“I’m actually not an attention-seeking person, sitting here as a 30-year-old grown woman,” she noted. “I was creating attention for myself because I was dividing myself from a character I had played.”
Miley first became known for playing the title character in Hannah Montana, and many fans were not able to separate her from the persona, even once she stopped playing that character. Some of her controversial moments included her "Wrecking Ball" music video and her twerking performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
