One mother is absolutely furious after she says she was called out by a cashier for letting her child eat food in the grocery store before paying for it first. "Awful experience with Tesco," she wrote on the video. "I've never been spoken to so badly and been so judged as a Mum." In her caption she continued, "I’m still feeling so cross about this whole situation and I still cannot believe this lady actually said what she said. I intend to put in a formal complaint if possible. Unfortunately I didn’t see her name as I was so upset at the time. The judgement put on me was unbelievable and totally unacceptable."
In the video, Samantha shared that she was at the supermarket with her son, who began to feel sick. She offered him some snacks that she had pre-packed, but he rejected that and asked to eat on the yogurt in their cart instead. “He had not eaten, I was like, ‘If he wants it, he can have it.’”
When they got to the checkout line, she explained to the cashier that her son had eaten some of the yogurt so that the empty containers could be scanned. Samantha then says that the cashier became disgusted, scanned the cartons, and then threw them away even though her son wasn't completely finished with them yet. Upon the mom letting her know they weren't done, the cashier grabbed the cartons out of the trash and sat them to the side.
“She said, ‘I just don’t think it’s right that people let their kids eat stuff from the food shop on the way around,’” Mary explained. “I said, ‘I don’t really think it is your job to be giving your opinion on what you think — my child is really unwell, he has basically not eaten properly for a week, he wanted something in the shop, so I jumped on that opportunity for him to have something to eat.'”

Eventually, the cashier ended up giving the mom a "half apology" once Samantha became teary-eyed. But people in the comments don't really think that the mom was right for letting her son eat in the store.
"As someone who works in a shop it’s disgusting the slobbery packets you get handed, even worse that he’s sick it’s disgusting you’re in the wrong here sorry," someone wrote.
"This is so dramatic," another person commented. "And as someone who worked in Tesco for 6 years I can tell you that no employee wants to touch a grubby, slobbery yoghurt packet that’s been in your child’s sick mouth ."
