Working parents face a constant juggling act. You have to care for the kids and make money. Often, a divide-and-conquer strategy works well. Nick and Vanessa Lachey appear to be using this technique.
Vanessa is on location filming the television series NCIS: Hawai'i. Nick is keeping the home fires warm and caring for their three kids. Nick took to Instagram to share what the family has been up to in Vanessa’s absence.
"On daddy duty while V wraps up filming season 3 of NCIS: Hawai’i, so the kids and I took our spring break trip and went to the [San Diego Zoo]!" Nick captioned his post. "We had a blast and learned a lot about their conservation efforts both local and worldwide. If you’re in the area I highly recommend a family trip!!"
Nick shared three photos in his post. The family fed camels. They spent time with an aardvark and an anteater. It seems like a great family day.
"Super Dad!" Vanessa gushed in the comments. "I Love You so much! And… payback will be worth it! ❤️." Mom and Dad were getting flirty in the comments.

Vanessa and Nick first met in 2003 on the set of TRL. Vanessa worked on the show and Nick was a frequent guest. Sparks wouldn’t fly until Vanessa appeared in Nick’s music video for his song "What's Left of Me" in 2006. They dated for five years and married in 2011. Their first child, Camden was born in 2012. He was followed by Brooklyn in 2015 and Phoenix the following year.
