These 7 Original Hallmark Christmas Movies Are Not To Be Missed This Holiday Season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! As we edge closer to the holiday season, there is no better way to get in a festive mood than a Hallmark Christmas movie. The channel’s Countdown to Christmas began on October 20 this year, and you are in good hands with plenty of original content.

The seven movies on this list will have you singing carols and trimming the tree. Bonus points if you watch them with some cookies and hot chocolate. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas after all.

Lighthouses are symbols of hope. According to Hallmark, they are also a great place to find love. In Navigating Christmas Melanie, played by Chelsea Hobbs, decides to spend the holidays on a remote island after a painful divorce. Good thing because she cannot help but notice the hunky local lighthouse owner, played by Stephen Huszar.

'A Merry Scottish Christmas'

A Merry Scottish Christmas stars Hallmark favorite Lacey Chabert, who reunites with her Party of Five costar Scott Wolf. It is Lacey’s 14th Hallmark Christmas movie. The pair play siblings again who were estranged until traveling to Scotland together during the holiday season. Their trip reveals a big family secret.

'Holiday Hotline'

Cooking for the holidays can be stressful. In Holiday Hotline, Abby, played by Emily Tennant, works at a call center that helps solve problems by answering urgent culinary questions. She connects with an anonymous caller who unbeknownst to her, she knows in real life. Her love interest John is played by Niall Matter.

Ambitious Avery Quinn, played by Italia Ricci, has always wanted to anchor the evening news. A man named Chris, who claims to be Santa’s son, stands in her way. Will the two be able to work together and break an important news story? You will have to watch Catch Me If You Claus to find out.

The holidays are all about magic. Letters to Santa has that, plus romance. Two young kids use a magical pen that grants wishes to try to reunite their parents. Katie Leclerc and Rafael de la Fuente star in this heartwarming film.

'Christmas in Notting Hill'

True there is no Hugh Grant or Julia Roberts in Christmas in Notting Hill but that doesn’t mean it is not charming. Sarah Ramos and William Moseley take over the London neighborhood to tell another love story. William plays a famous soccer player who has decided love is just not gonna happen for him. This is, of course, until he meets an American named Georgia, played by Sarah.

'Where Are You, Christmas?'

Christmas is full of joy but can also be stressful and a trigger for many who feel lonely. Where are you, Christmas? explores a world without the holiday. Addy, played by Lyndsy Fonseca, wishes for a world with Christmas. In a classic tale of "be careful what you wish for," she almost instantly regrets it and works to make things right with the town mechanic, played by Michael Rady. Watch to see if they can restore holiday joy together.
