Darnell Wilson was a dedicated police officer who worked in his hometown of Tukwila, Washington. Darnell is a compassionate individual with innate protective instincts that guided him to enlist in the police academy right out of high school.
He was a star student at the police academy and after training, he secured a job with the Tukwila Police Department. Darnell married a lawyer named Alyssa and despite their best efforts, the couple haven’t been able to have kids yet.
Darnell and his patrol partner, Stella, have been doing a patrol in the city center for years. He had encountered all types of people on the streets of Tukwila and never shied away from lending a helping hand to an individual in need.
It was one of the coldest days of the winter when Darnell and Stella came across a young boy who was playing outdoors without shoes on. The boy was no older than 8 years old and Darnell couldn’t help but immediately notice that he was wearing bloody socks on his feet.
After Darnell and Stella parked their police vehicle, Darnell instructed Stella to stay put as he wanted to approach the young boy on his own at first. He took off his cap and walked over to him. He wanted to appear friendly, so he paused and asked the boy if you could play a little soccer with him.

After they had kicked the soccer ball back and forth for a little bit, Darnell asked him why he wasn’t wearing any shoes since he appeared to be hurting his feet. The boy told him that his family didn’t have any shoes that fit him properly and he liked to play outside, so it was just more comfortable to go barefoot.
