Ree Drummond's daughter is getting ready for her special day. Over the weekend, on September 14, 2024, Ree and her daughter Paige went out in Dallas in search of Paige's dream wedding dress. The Food Network star, 55, said her other daughter, Alex, and Paige's fiancé's mom and sister also tagged along on the adventure, which involved trying on 40 different dresses. On August 4, Ree revealed that Paige and David, were engaged. When it came to finding the perfect dress, Ree said her daughter "had a pretty good idea of what she didn't want."
Still, "there are so many options and directions," Ree wrote on her Pioneer Woman blog, which can be "overwhelming." David's mom and Ree decided to "[place] bets as to how many dresses Paige would try on throughout the day," Ree wrote. However, they both ended up being way off — one person guessed eight and the other guessed 22.
In reality, Paige tried on 40 different wedding dresses. "Fortunately, she moved at lightning speed and only lingered on the ones she knew she loved," Ree wrote on her blog. "I have a feeling forty dresses isn't that unusual, but I would have been exhausted if I'd had to get zipped up that many times."

Luckily, after visiting several shops and trying on 40 different dresses, Paige found the perfect dress for her special day. Of course, it's too soon for Ree to share photos of the dress or any of the others she tried on, but she looks forward to sharing photos after Paige's wedding.
"For now, I'm just so thrilled for Paige that she found a dress that she absolutely loves and that she feels is right for her," Ree wrote.
Ree did share some photos of the shopping experience on Instagram and on her blog though. In a photo shared to her Instagram Stories, Ree wore a white shirt to match her daughter's long white dress and white sandals — except it wasn't done on purpose.
"I didn't mean to wear a white shirt and match Paige's dress, I just didn't bring much from home and it was my only option," she wrote on her blog.
After sharing that Paige had gotten engaged, Ree reflected on why she was "so happy" for her daughter: "Paige is my strong, mighty, wonderful daughter and the fact that she found a person she wants to spend her life with is a pretty indescribable feeling," she wrote on her blog at the time.
She also shared the news on Instagram, writing, "Happiness is seeing your daughter happy! ❤️ Congratulations, David and Paige! (This is gonna be fun!)."
