What to Know
At this point, we’ve seen a lot of AI-generated social media content from the Trump administration. The posts have been criticized for coming across as unprofessional or even outright offensive. And yet, when Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shared a new “Eat Real Food” promo video, people couldn’t believe how unserious (and embarrassing) it seemed.
To promote his Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, RFK Jr. shared an AI-generated video in which a shirtless depiction of him (wearing blue jeans, of course) physically attacks a man dressed as a Twinkie.
He captioned the video with, “MAHAMania: SnackDown.”
Americans can’t afford groceries, and because of food safety deregulation, the food we do get is filled with dangerous chemicals.

And what is the Trump administration doing about it? Posting cringe AI slop. https://t.co/1yjfD7u4mO
It was obviously WWE-inspired, as the AI-generated muscular version of Kennedy entered a WWE SmackDown ring and Limp Bizkit’s 2000 hit, “Rollin,'” played. The man dressed as a Twinkie held a sign that read, “I [heart] Junk Food.” RFK Jr. wrestled with the junk food, kicking him and throwing him on the ground as a commentator praised him. In the end, he ultimately “defeated” the Twinkie, and the words “Eat Real Food” appeared on screen.
Though the message is straightforward, people still questioned the point.
Nobody needs to be told Twinkies are bad. Anti-junk food awareness campaigns don’t move population-level diet. Food environment, pricing, school nutrition, labeling, and access do. All being defunded or ignored, but he gets to take his shirt off again. https://t.co/Roz5Dr9ZjK

A lot of critics believe that the Secretary of Health and Human Services should probably be doing more than just sharing content on social media. People aren’t convinced that telling people to “eat real food” is making any meaningful difference in people’s lives. Earlier this year, RFK Jr. introduced new dietary guidelines and said, “My message is clear: Eat real food.” But a lot of critics felt that this advice was not exactly groundbreaking.
And sure, most people would agree with the basic concept of eating healthy food. But what if they can’t actually access that food? “Ok. What has he actually done to get Twinkies out of our lives?” one critic on X questioned. “I’d love to see hhs pushing out easy cooking tips for budget-strapped families.”
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was ridiculed online when she tried to share tips on how to prepare a healthy meal on a budget. She tried to say that Americans could prepare a healthy meal for just $3. The healthy meal in question? “A piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, a corn tortilla, and one other thing.”
Plus, doesn’t RFK Jr. have other things to do, perhaps? “Wrestling a Twinkie?” another critic questioned. “…They fire actual scientists, doctors, and public health experts and hired social media content creators.” Someone else said, “It was the darkest of times, it was the dumbest of times. While he’s busy AI wrestling a f—ing Twinkie, they’ve absolutely decimated the NIH.”
Also, people think it’s extremely “cringe.”

While RFK Jr. likely found the video amusing, a lot of critics felt the video just showed how “unqualified and unprofessional” he really is. One critic commented, “Nice job continuing to make America a punchline…Imagine how much better off we’d be if we had qualified people in these positions.”
Congressman Shri Thanedar called the video “disgraceful.” He wrote, “Measles cases have gone through the roof under Trump/Kennedy’s leadership, hitting a 34 year high. Kids are dead because of them, but they’d rather post AI of Kennedy wrestling a twinkie than fix their mess.”
