It appears that Shannen Doherty and her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, don't agree on the reason why their relationship came to an end. In early December, on the first episode of her Let's Be Clear podcast, the 52-year-old alleged that her ex had a two-year affair, which she found out about right before having surgery to get a brain tumor removed. It was at this moment that she knew their 11-year marriage was over. But according to sources close to Kurt, the two had been separated for two years before her surgery.
The sources claimed that Kurt had been open with Shannen about having a new relationship while they were living apart. Yet according to TMZ's sources, he didn't tell her until earlier this year.
According to TMZ's source, Shannen fell a few days after Kurt told her about his new relationship. She then was sent to get an MRI and that's when doctors discovered her brain tumor and she had to have the surgery.

The actress isn't backing down from her version of the story, though. On Tuesday night, she took to Instagram, calling his version "an absolute lie." She also accused those close to Kurt of trying to misconstrue the truth.
However, the sources connected to Kurt say that he was living in Texas while Shannen was living in California when her tumor was discovered. According to them, Kurt flew back to be present for her appointments, but on the morning of the surgery she told him that she didn't want him there.
The sources who reported to TMZ say that Shannen's story that Kurt had been sneaking behind her back isn't accurate. However, the timing was just rough overall.
Shannen filed for divorce in April 2023 after 11 years of marriage. According to her representative, Leslie Sloane, the actress didn't want divorce initially. "Unfortunately, she felt she was left with no other option. You can contact Kurt's agent, Collier Grimm at PICTUREKID as she is intimately involved."
According to TMZ's sources, the other woman was in fact Collier. Apparently she and Kurt are still together.
Sources close to Kurt went on to say that he still tried to be a part of Shannen's life after their marriage started experiencing hardships in 2020, claiming that he rented homes in her area from January to July of 2021, only moving to Texas after they couldn't figure things out. Shannen says the "truth matters" and is prepared to bring it to light.
