Tensions continue to be high in the Jolie-Pitt family. They have been this way since the infamous plane incident in 2016 which ultimately led to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce. Their child, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, is choosing to distance themselves from their dad.
On May 27, 2024 Shiloh turned 18. They also filed to remove dad Brad’s last name from their moniker. They want to be known as Shiloh Jolie. They are not the only sibling to express this desire.
TMZ was the first to report this story. The name change has not yet been granted but most likely will be. There is no real reason to prevent it.
Shiloh is not the only sibling who has distanced themselves from Brad. Just a couple days before Shiloh’s filing, their sister Vivienne chose to list her name in the program for the Broadway musical The Outsiders as Vivienne Jolie. She previously went by Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. It is not clear if this change was made legally or is just a preference. Vivienne helped her mom produce the show.

In 2023, Shiloh and Vivienne’s sister Zahara paved the way. When joining the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority she introduced herself as Zahara Marley Jolie. The 19-year-old is studying at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
