Billy was a small child with an infectious love of life and a bright smile. Tragically, he was just 4 years old when his parents were told that he was terminally ill and just had a few months left to live.
Billy’s parents were devastated by the news, but they decided they wanted to cherish whatever time they had left with their son. They took him on special trips to all sorts of exotic locations that he had always dreamed of seeing.
As the months passed, Billy’s health began to deteriorate even more and just a few days after his fifth birthday, Billy was gone. Even though Billy’s mother, Jennifer, was grieving in a way that she had never imagined, she wanted to give her son a funeral that felt fitting for his charismatic personality and sweet spirit.
On the day of his funeral, Jennifer was standing at the front of the church delivering a heartfelt remembrance of her son when the most shocking thing occurred: Billy came walking into his own funeral.
As it happened, Billy hadn’t died, he had been kidnapped and with his poor health, his parents didn’t figure they would ever be able to set eyes on their little boy again. When Billy arrived at his funeral, he told his parents that he had been taken by strangers who held him in a box for several days before he was finally able to escape.
