Stephen Baldwin has raised concern after resharing a post asking for prayers for his daughter Hailey Bieber and his son-in-law Justin Bieber on his Instagram story. "Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection and to draw close to the Lord," an Instagram reel from Victor Marx, the founder of the All Things Possible Ministries posted on February 26, 2024, read. He also added, "There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face."
Stephen reposted the reel, which features Justin playing the guitar and singing "I Could Sing of Your Love Forever." A reason for the reel was not provided, and reps for Stephen, Justin, and Hailey have not responded to requests for comments.
"I seldom like to post about certain folks in the limelight because of the negative comments we get," Victor captioned his post. "Eileen and Hailey’s mom pray often together for J&H and our children as well. There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face and also the enemy doesn’t want them to draw closer to Jesus."
More from LittleThings: Here’s Why Justin Bieber Decided Not To Perform At The Super Bowl Halftime Show
"So often regardless of the material things or the accolades they often face spiritual warfare that intense and seeks to ship-wreck their faith , marriage and life in general," he continued. "So thank you."
One person commented: "I will pray for them!!❤. How beautiful."
"The devil is alive and well in Hollywood," another person wrote. "The only thing different is they are out and proud now and we are awake."
Other people, however, seemed to question the true intentions of the post.
"Justin needed help, not being pressured into marriage," one user wrote. "Also don’t post about them for you to get clout. That’s their business not yours to share with others. This post is not godly of you. You know exactly what you’re doing. God sees everything. You’re literally using high profile people for your own 'church' to gain more publicity. That’s crazy."
"This is gross and intrusive and just sounds like a desperate plea to guilt shame this couple because this organization is worried those Justin Bieber donations are coming to an end," another person commented. "I hope what ever they decide, either collectively or separately, they disassociate with this clout chasing group. Do better!"
Hours after Stephen re-shared the reel, Justin and Hailey attended a late-night church service at the Churchome Church at Saban Theatre in Los Angeles. They arrived at the church in a Tesla Cybertruck.
The couple, who got married in 2018, have withdrawn from a very public life in light of health issues the two have encountered. Many fans were also recently disappointed at Justin's decision not to perform in the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Usher. "I think that it might've been the fact that he's just wanting to tell a different story right now," Usher said in an interview on The Breakfast Club, "and I understand that."
