It is believed that the five people on board the missing Titan submersible are out of oxygen. According to multiple reports, based on the estimates given by experts, the five would have run out of oxygen at 6 a.m. EST on June 22, 2023.
It's possible that they have taken measures to conserve their oxygen, and search teams will continue to look for the submersible and hope for the best.
The submersible is roughly the size of a minivan, but without as much room to move around. The team lost contact with their support ship nearly two hours into their dive to the Titanic wreckage.
It's believed that they departed with 96 hours of air. A number of factors, including if the submersible has power and if the occupants inside are able to stay calm, will contribute to how long the air lasts.
