Tori Spelling Says She Doesn’t Sleep Alone — Or Poop Alone — Even After Her Divorce

Tori Spelling admits that she prefers being around people. Though the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum filed for divorce from estranged husband Dean McDermott on March 29, 2024, she hasn't been spending a ton of time alone. On the April 8 episode of her podcast misSPELLING, Tori, 50, explained that she doesn't go to the bathroom alone — and she hasn't in 18 years.

"I still don't poop alone," she admitted on her podcast, adding that she hasn't "pooped [or] peed alone in 18 years."

For some time, her estranged husband Dean McDermott would stand with her while she used the bathroom. Now that they're no longer together, one of her kids, Beau, 7, will stand there.

"Beau still stands there and stares and talks to me while I'm pooping," Tori admitted on the podcast. She shares five children with Dean: Beau, Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11.

"I think I function better with people," she explained. In spite of her separation from her husband, the mom of five doesn't sleep alone either.

She and Dean had been sleeping in separate bedrooms for three years before their split, but she still shares a bedroom with some of her kids, reported TODAY.com.

Tori has also addressed rumors about why she and Dean slept separately for so long before their divorce. Dean previously claimed that he didn't sleep in the same bed as Tori because she slept with animals in the bed, including a pig.

"He gave an interview saying he stopped sleeping in the bed because of a pig. That is not true," Tori explained on her podcast, adding that she did cuddle with a pig for one night — but she was just following instructions from the pig's caregivers.

"When it peed between us in the bed, he was like, 'The pig's leaving the bed,'" she explained. "And I was like, 'Understood.' And that was it. That was the only night the pig was in the bed."

She thinks the real reason Dean didn't want to share a bed anymore is because she liked to have the TV on.

When Tori filed for divorce, she cited irreconcilable differences. Though the kids weren't ready to see their dad at first after the split in summer 2023, Tori explained that she and Dean are "co-parenting really well right now."

"The kids are seeing him again, and they're happy with his progress and the work he's done on himself. And they're proud of him, and we like his girlfriend," Tori said on the podcast.
