President Donald Trump is certainly not beating the dementia allegations with his recent Truth Social post. Over the weekend, the 80-year-old president raised eyebrows when he shared a photo of a mystery blonde woman. He captioned it with, “Great daughter, My Honor!!! President DJT.”
This seemed nonsensical to people on social media who were trying to understand who the woman in the photo was and what Trump was actually trying to say. At first, because he said “great daughter,” people assumed he was talking about one of his own daughters. Except the woman in the photo was clearly not Ivanka or Tiffany Trump.
People puzzled over the post, and it sparked a discussion on Reddit.
Trump just posted an image of this woman on Truth Social.

Who the hell is it and why does it seem like he’s thinks it’s his daughter?
One of the main signs of dementia is confusing people for family members. pic.twitter.com/wCxQn0lcDE
There, some people guessed that the woman in the post was his first wife, Ivana Trump. One Redditor accused him of “confusing (his) late ex-wife with (his) daughter.” Meanwhile, several others speculated that perhaps he was trying to thank Ivana for giving him a “great daughter.” Which wouldn’t really make much sense at all, but it’s Trump we’re talking about.
“I think he meant to post ivanka,” one person theorized. “And be like ‘great daughter ‘ it’s been an honor to be your dad. On Father’s Day. But also his brain is soup so he mixing ivanka and ivanna up.”
Except one person pointed out a key detail in response: “That pic isn’t Ivana or Ivanka.” Welp.
Besides, Trump obviously has multiple children.

Trump welcomed three children with his first wife: Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric. If he had really been writing about Ivana and the “great daughter” she gave him, he would’ve been excluding his older sons. But based on what people know about Trump, this actually seemed entirely possible. After all, he has said he doesn’t like talking to Eric, and he recently skipped Don Jr.’s wedding.
Trump also has two children, Tiffany and Barron, from other marriages. Implying that he only has one “great” child would definitely be questionable, but realistically, not the most shocking thing Trump has ever said about his kids.
“I read it as an attempted Father’s Day message: ‘You are a great daughter, and it is my honor to be your father’ but, it is a day early, he put a picture of (Ivana) up instead of (Ivanka), which is gross,” another person wrote, clearly still thinking the photo was of Ivana. “And he just skipped over DJTJ, Eric, Tiffany, and Barron.”
Once they figured out that it was not Ivana, people assumed that the photo was of some other woman he had confused with his own daughter.

And of course, they saw it as a sign of dementia. “That looks like dementia to me,” one Redditor commented. “For some reason he’s found this pic and misremembered it as being his daughter. Maybe because it’s Fathers Day?”
And because of the timing, someone else agreed that Trump must have thought the photo was a photo of his daughter. “100% he thinks that’s Ivanka it’s too close to father’s day to be anything else,” they wrote.
The real answer finally came to light, making it clear that no amount of information would actually make the post make sense. According to multiple reports, the woman in the photo appears to be Margo Catsimatidis. Trump appeared to be saying that she has a “great daughter” because she is the mother of Manhattan Republican Party Chairwoman and vocal Trump supporter Andrea Catsimatidis. However, the reason for Trump’s post and the actual meaning behind it remain pretty unclear. Critics pointed out that it very much reads like an unfinished thought, even when you know who he’s referring to.
But the “great daughter” in question later reacted to the post.
Thank you Mr President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party, it was an amazing tribute filled with so much American pride. And thank you for everything you are doing for America! pic.twitter.com/PCgjgvJlqw

On X, she shared a screenshot of Trump’s mysterious Truth Social post and wrote, “Thank you Mr President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party, it was an amazing tribute filled with so much American pride. And thank you for everything you are doing for America!”
To some critics, this just seemed like an attempt at damage control.
