A man has been arrested after allegedly attempting to abduct a barista in Auburn, Washington. In jarring video, the man can be seen trying to pull the barista through the drive-thru window and into his car.
Luckily, the man, whose identity has not been revealed, was unsuccessful.
The Auburn Police Department arrested the man hours after security footage of the near-abduction was released.
Police posted the security footage online and asked for help identifying the suspect.
In the footage, you can see the barista hand the customer his change. The man forcefully grabs her arms and tries to pull her through the window. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, at around 5 a.m.
While it's tough to make out in the video, police say that the man was using a "looped ziptie device" to help him pull the barista toward his vehicle. Luckily, she was able to fight him off. As soon as she did, he pulled his car away.
Clearly, police had a lot to go on in their search, so it didn't take long to find the suspect. He was described as having a unique tattoo on his left forearm that says "Chevrolet." They also had footage showing his vehicle.
